Bharat Future City: Hyderabad’s Next Growth Engine
To support Hyderabad’s long-term expansion, the Telangana Government has announced the ambitious Bharat Future City project.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy inaugurated the Future City Development Authority (FCDA) headquarters on 10 June 2026 at Meerkhanpet, Kandukur Mandal, Rangareddy district.
The project is planned across nearly 30,000 acres, strategically located south of Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, between the Srisailam Highway and Nagarjunasagar Highway.
Unlike conventional townships, Bharat Future City is envisioned as a futuristic urban ecosystem focused on:
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Life Sciences
- Electric Vehicles (EV)
- Data Centers
- Advanced Manufacturing
- Sustainable Urban Development
The government also aims to develop it as India’s first Net-Zero Smart City, integrating green infrastructure, clean energy, and smart mobility.
The master plan is expected to be completed by December 2026 by Singapore-based DP Architects.
